It is that time of year again… barbecues and parties as we celebrate the 4th of July. We at The Toney Law Firm hope you have a wonderful holiday weekend with your family and friends.
As always, it is important to remember to celebrate smartly. Pick a designated driver, plan a celebration at home or nearby so you can walk, or plan on taking a cab or car service. Uber can be a lifesaver, and remember no matter how expensive the ride home is, it's a lot cheaper than having to fight criminal charges. The police know you are celebrating, and they are out policing the cities. They are watching the roads and making sure drivers are being safe and not drinking and driving. Often police throughout the state even conduct roadside checkpoints, hoping to catch drunk drivers. Accidents, DUI arrrests and other criminal arrests can occur over the holiday, so be prepared and alert. It is important to remember to be safe while you are having your holiday fun.
