Most Likely To Get Pulled Over Month: March

It's March in Illinois. The month you are most likely to get pulled over.

According to IDOT (Illinois Department of Transportation) who analyzed tickets from 2007-2011, more tickets were issued in March than any other month. Thousands of tickets will be issued this month across the state of Illinois.

So why March? Mostly it's because the weather is starting to get nicer and the roads are clearer than in the winter months. Also, people tend to come out of hibernation when the weather gets nicer and start driving more.

So please be careful with your speed this month! As we've previously blogged on our facebook page, going even 30 mph over the speed limit is now Aggravated Speeding, a misdemeanor, and it carries over $400 in costs!
