Ireland County Legalizes Drunk Driving

A county in Ireland has passed a motion to allow drunk driving. The county council voted to approve drunk driving because it promotes going out and drinking with friends, rather than drinking at home alone which fosters depressions and possibly suicide. However, the major difference between drunk driving in County Kerry, Ireland and downtown Chicago is their drivers will be driving home on back roads and that no one has killed anyone by drunk driving. It certainly is a novel idea and will be interesting to see if making drunk driving legal really does have the positive effects on their residents they hope it will.
