Attorney Sarah Toney Wins a Not Guilty at Recent Trial

This November attorney Sarah Toney tried and won a DUI case before a Judge at the Richard J. Daley Center in Chicago.

A difficult case, the client had been stopped for speeding while on a busy expressway in Chicago. Then, while addressing the officer, the client admitted to having had an alcoholic drink that night and proceeded to perform field sobriety tests on the side of the road. The client allegedly failed two of the three tests.

There was a police car video taken during the stop and arrest of the client. The video showed the client allegedly unable to stand on one leg for more than 10 seconds and also putting his foot down 3 different times.

The client did refuse to blow into the Portable Breathalyzer while on the road, and then also refused to take a formal breath test at the police station, after his arrest.

A difficult case due to the admission and field sobriety tests, the trial before the Court was fought with skill and vigor by attorney Toney. The judge, upon hearing all the evidence and arguments, found in favor of the client and entered a verdict of not guilty.

A good day for the client.
