Statewide DUI Enforcement Over Labor Day

Summer is coming to an end and Labor Day is upon us. So the Illinois Department of Transportation has instituted a "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Campaign" statewide to catch suspected drunk drivers.

Together with the Illinois State Police and 300 local police departments, there will be about 200 roadblocks set up throughout the state during Labor Day weekend. There will also be over 100 other impaired driving AND seatbelt patrols.

Drunk driving deaths are actually on the decline in the state, but high travel weekends like Labor Day encourage law enforcement to be out everywhere to deter people from drinking and driving.

Stay safe this weekend and we hope you had a wonderful summer!
