DUI Saturation Patrol on Friday

This Friday, the night before Christmas Eve, the Chicago Police Department will be on high alert for DUI drivers.  Specifically, the police are targeting the 9th District, the Deering District which is in the Edison Park area.

The Chicago Police will be conducting what is called a "saturation patrol" meaning there will be more police officers patrolling the area looking for impaired drivers.  They will look for things like speed, seat belt violations and alcohol related driving issues.

The DUI saturation will begin on Friday, December 23, 2016 at 7 pm and finish at 3:00 am on Saturday morning.

During these saturation patrols, CPD may also use the breath alcohol testing mobile unit in order to administer breath tests to people who have been arrested for DUI faster than taking them to the station. They will also be able to release people who were arrested on I-bonds where no posting of any bail money is required.

If you are stopped for a DUI, get in touch with us as soon as you can as there are things we can do to help you right away.
