Attorney Sarah Toney Appointed Chair of Committee

Attorney Sarah Toney has been appointed by incoming President of the Illinois State Bar Association Vincent Cornelius to be Chair of a committee. President-Elect Cornelius has appointed Ms. Toney to be head of the Law Office Management and Economics Committee. She will Chair the committee made of up lawyers from across the State of Illinois and together they will work to help law firms run more efficiently, productively and economically. Currently there are about 32,000 members of the Illinois State Bar Associatio. She will be responsible for running state-wide continuing education seminars, publishing a newsletter and holding quarterly meetings. She was previously Secretary and Vice-Chair of this committee over the past 2 years.

In addition, Ms. Toney will begin her second term on the Assembly of the State Bar Association. This is the governing body of the Association, is an elected position and she was serve a 3 year term.

Ms. Toney was also appointed to be the Secretary of the Marketing and Communications Committee, as well as the Solo and Small Firm Institute Planning Committee.

Ms. Toney will begin her term for these committees begining in June at the Annual Meeting held in Rosemont, Illinois.
