Attorney Sarah Toney Speaks to Lawyers at Rockford Lawyer Education Program

On Friday, October 2, 2015, attorney Sarah Toney traveled to Rockford, Illinois to speak at the Illinois State Bar Association’s Solo & Small Firm Practice Institute Series. The title of the program was A Closer Look: Securing and Growing Your Practice.
Ms. Toney joined other lawyers in volunteering her time to speak at the conference, which helps attorneys learn and hone their technology, legal and business skills. Attorney Toney was the first speaker at the program, speaking on the topic “Using Technology and Social Media for Effective and Ethical Advertising.” In this program, Ms. Toney discussed with the lawyers the value and methods for best marking their firms. She explored the options of websites, paid versus free, and other social media tools available to lawyers. Lastly, in learning about the tools, Ms. Toney touched upon the ethical issues lawyers face in using such tools while maintaining the ethical standards imposed on lawyers.
Ms. Toney consistently volunteers her time speaking to lawyers and helping give back to the legal community. Lawyers who attend these programs receive continuing legal education credit for this most recent and other programs.
